Here too, I don't really get the citrusy or in this case the orangey, grapefruit-like aspect at the beginning. For me, it is immediately woody, spicy, balsamic, and on such a fine level that it captivated me right away. It is currently my showcase student... which means I wear the Oxford the most and love it the most. Such a wonderfully warm, relaxing, yet lovely and inspiring fragrance has never come my way before, which may not mean much, as I have mentioned before, I haven't been in the game for long. For all those years, I had two or three classics that accompanied me for a long time and still do, but I had virtually no idea about the world of perfume in its entirety and its possibilities. Unfortunately, the Oxford does not perform particularly well on me. Since I wear fragrances not just for others, but mainly to enjoy them myself, I am desperately trying to extend its life on my skin. A sillage that can be called that is no longer present after a very short time for me, at least not before someone gets very, very close to me. Molecule 01 or similar came to my ears as a base... well... I'm currently in the testing phase there. Maybe I'm just using too few sprays!?
Otherwise, I made a decant for a travel atomizer and I just keep reapplying!
From Roberto Ugololini, the Oxford is my favorite... yes, and that despite a '17 Rosso' or '4 Rosso'... which, by the way, do not even rank 2 and 3 in terms of popularity for me. First, I have the 'Blue Suede Shoes', the 'Azzuro', and the 'Derby', and I haven't tried all of them from this house yet.
But back to the Oxford. These types of fragrances are usually associated with the fresher seasons, but I think I have to refuse to leave the Oxford out in the summer. Maybe not at 30 degrees and above, but otherwise, I don't want to miss out on this comforting, nose- and mood-soothing scent. For me, a perfectly successful fine-spicy, balsamic (rather) men's fragrance. Thank you Ugolini for this gem.
