They Called Him Incense Man
Then there was Mrs. So-and-So sitting there, smelling totally clean and fresh. So I asked her what she was wearing, and she said she didn't know. A friend of Mrs. So-and-So, who works in a perfumery somewhere in the Walachia (not in Romania), had brought her the perfume. I then nagged her until she could tell me the name of the perfume: Eau de Rochas Fraîche (of course, otherwise I wouldn't be writing this comment here). I trudged to the nearest perfumery the same day and asked if they had it. They didn't. I went home and ordered it from an online store. I was serious about it.
Eau de Rochas Fraîche smells totally different on me than on Mrs. So-and-So. I wear the perfume to work on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. (On Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, I wear something else.) It's terribly hot here in this area, I'm melting, and I'm also at that age where one is constantly too warm. Eau de Rochas Fraîche keeps me somewhat together and provides me with cooling comfort. The sillage is relatively low on me. When I ask my family testers, they have to push their noses quite close to me. However, the longevity is phenomenal on me. If I don't shower after my late shift because I have to get up again soon, I still smell of Eau de Rochas Fraîche in the morning.
The family testers consider this scent to be the best summer fragrance so far, but they also call it "Incense Man." Because strangely enough, what remains until the next morning really does smell like Incense Man on me, I have to admit. But it's a great Incense Man. When I reapply after a few hours, I feel like I'm shifting this effect, but the family always calls it Incense Man. No matter when. I can't explain why it smells like Incense Man at all, as supposedly no incense is included. One must also consider that my family testers enjoy flashy expressions and may not be as reliable as I would like them to be. Eau de Rochas Fraîche smells great, honestly.
For that, I could swear that flowers and musk are already frolicking in the top note. The bergamot is, of course, also present. After a few seconds, the perfume is so citrusy-fresh-floral and sweet at the same time that I can hardly get my nose off my arm. (I can't work like this, of course. I need my arm there.) Even after a few minutes, the bergamot is still quite present. After about half an hour, the bergamot becomes a little weaker.
I don't know the big sister Eau de Rochas (without Fraîche) and therefore can't say anything about the similarity. Every scent smells different on everyone. I took a blind buy here and was rewarded.
