Very helpful Review
The little sister of Eau de Rochas
or Eau de Rochas 'light'
During the intense heat last week, I was very enthusiastic about my old "Eau de Rochas".
And now this weekend, I had the chance to try a sample of "Eau de Rochas Fraîche".
The resemblance between the two fragrances is unmistakable, with the 'Fraîche' feeling lighter and less bitter to me. I could also say it is somewhat more feminine than the original.
This is also logical when I look at the ingredient list:
Both share bergamot in the top note and oak moss and musk in the base.
What the 'Fraîche' lacks is the bitterness of basil and grapefruit, as well as the spiciness of coriander and patchouli in the heart note and amber and sandalwood in the base.
This is probably also the reason for the weaker longevity of the 'Fraîche' compared to its bigger sister.
For myself, I will wear the 'Fraîche' when it’s not quite hot enough that I can and want to wear the big brother.
(Maybe it’s a bit unfair to compare the 'Fraîche' with 'Eau de Rochas', but I think it’s helpful for those who know and love 'Eau de Rochas' to imagine the 'Fraîche'.)

Thanks, finally a comment! As a dedicated Eau de Rochas lover, the Fraîche sounds like an interesting addition.

I really liked the original 20 years ago, but somehow it slipped my mind. Your comment brought the scent back to me nicely, and I can totally imagine the little sister. Little-sister trophy!

I may not know Eau de Rochas, but I do know Eau Fraiche. ;-) And it's really great! I find it very refreshing even in hot weather.....
