Summery, refreshing, flattering, and noble
As soon as it cooled down a bit, my anti-heat blind-buy fragrance finally arrived! But it's still warm enough, and hopefully summer isn't over yet. Because I wanted a scent that can withstand the 30-degree mark. So let's unpack it right away: The bottle is already very pretty with its ribbed, heavy glass look and delicate blue. No dribbling, but rather a generous application, after all, it's a Fraiche. First impression: Wow, how beautiful it is! I haven't had a comparable scent under my royal nose until now.
Fraiche is everything that I usually do NOT like in summer fragrances: It is NOT citrusy (only at the start due to the bergamot), NOT green, NOT aquatic, and NOT too herbaceous. Instead, Fraiche is fresh, yet soft and flattering. Fraiche is completely unsweet, cool, a bit herbaceous, but in a wonderfully soft, somehow noble way. There are only a few flowers present, absolutely pleasant. I think it's the iris that makes the scent so beautifully soft. Its presence in the fragrance pyramid significantly influenced my decision to buy. And I made the right choice!
Having found the Eau de Rochas far too herbaceous for me and the Eau Sensuelle nice but a bit too floral, everything here is simply perfect: Fraiche is a wonderful, noble summer companion that you don't smell on every corner. Wearable at 20, but certainly also at 30 degrees and above. I think not many summer fragrances achieve this summery range! Fraiche doesn't last all day, but I don't expect that from a light summer scent. Just refill and take along - for a quick refreshment in between. It delights my own nose and also that of those around me!

Oh yes, that's a great teaser comment, especially since we have similar fragrance preferences. I haven't been convinced by citrus summer scents so far either.

I only know Eau de Rochas; but Fraiche sounds enchanting. I need to add that to my wishlist. I also hope that summer only takes a short break....

If I'm not mistaken, you also come from the North. Then you'll have the chance to test it at higher temperatures on Friday. :) I really like the classic Eau de Rochas; I haven't tried this one yet.

Am I reading "Iris"?? Hmm, but 0% male users... tell me, dear Kleo, could you imagine this on a man? Great comment, and even if it’s "just" a "women's fragrance," you definitely deserve a summer trophy!!

Another blind buyer, I ordered it blind as well and wasn't super impressed at first, but I've realized that this fragrance needs a bit of warmth, and then it's lovely!
