Go with the (green) Flow
Surrender to the flow of life and let yourself be swept away by what comes. A very inviting notion, and in today's world probably only feasible for most to a limited extent. At least in my life, it's a real challenge, as the flow is repeatedly interrupted. But how does one even get into the right "flow"?
From an olfactory perspective, the flow regarding scents and perfumes unexpectedly hit me a few weeks ago when a valued Parfumo colleague sent me a sample of Mousse Illuminee.
When I tested the fragrance along with a few others, the work by Rogue didn't initially stand out to me in terms of scent. It was only when I left the room and then returned that I noticed it; this all-encompassing fragrance carpet was wafting through the air...
It was like the ultimate awakening, and I thought to myself...Wow, this almost reveals a piece of what I have always been searching for olfactorily. Thus, I found myself in the flow - instantly and full of enthusiasm!
Mousse Illuminee chains you in a positive sense, holds you tight, and takes you on a shimmering journey. It is not the wearer who carries this fragrance, but the fragrance that carries the wearer! A fundamental principle! Because as soon as the fragrance molecules pass through the atomizer and come into contact with the environment, it means diving into a sea of green lights full of breathtaking beauty. Ethereal green glowing freshness emerges, resembling an emerald forest full of grace and magic. But beware, as the initial sharpness, enormous herbaceousness, and at times biting scent can quickly be perceived as unpleasant or equated with excessive animalic notes. But more on that later.
Mousse Illuminee takes its time. The longer you wear it, the more beautiful, authentic, and purist it becomes.
For the true magic, which the creator Manuel Cross masterfully captures, and which makes the fragrance almost visionary for me, is the inherent spirit of the forest. Do you know those images of forest gods, whose faces are made up of leaves arranged in a circular pattern, with pointed lips as if they are exhaling wind? I think of such a figure when I think of MI...mystical, enchanting, and mysterious!
This phenomenon arises from the oak moss, which is so grandly staged here, giving the fragrance this extraordinary aura. Fantastic!
Regarding the topic of urea-containing aromas in the fragrance, statements often mention "pissing," "pee," "marking," "spraying"...:-)
This is, by the way, a Bavarian term, a sensational expression, and means the same as "a'gseicht," which translates to being sprinkled.
But enough of these urinal terminologies, as I believe they are more than inappropriate and entirely unsuitable for this wondrous fragrance!
It solely lies in the intense opening of MI that allows for this assumption. I do not perceive these scent notes in any way. On the contrary. MI needs this intensity to showcase its enormous longevity. It truly lasts all day! So caution is advised when dosing, as MI decorates everything organic and inorganic in its vicinity with its molecules...
No, that's not true, of course. But too much spray can quickly lead to social exclusion!
The label owner Manuel Cross has succeeded in creating a brilliant old-school powerhouse fragrance with a modern, and for me almost visionary twist. I wholeheartedly agree with my predecessor Mrs. Holle: Best fragrance!
However, I must disagree with her on one thing: she does not have all the bottles; one is with me...:-)
I would like to thank my now almost mentor Floyd, who first brought this label to my attention, as well as the esteemed Mr. Bloodxclat, who sent me this seemingly inconspicuous sample many weeks ago!
*It is time to start something new and trust in the magic of beginnings*
Thank you for reading all of this!

P.S. And I even learned a bit of urban Bavarian...
