the day Roja was distracted...
First of all, a heartfelt thank you to Ms. Angua for the sample!
Phew! How should I best start? As you may have already noticed, I love and appreciate the Roja fragrances very much! And now comes the BUT....
The Nüwa is somewhat like an accident; you don't want to look, but you can't look away either!
In the price segment of around 1000,- a special composition should make all other fragrances pale in comparison. It should be something spectacular, luxurious, extraordinary, which unfortunately is not the case here. Certainly, the scent is of high quality, yet it does not suit my taste.
Based on the fragrance pyramid, you would hardly recognize the scent! Citrusy start? Huh, no, I'm sorry.
Floral heart note? Hmmm, next question please!
Base? Yes, finally something is happening!
In summary, for me, the Nüwa starts with the base note. All the many fragrance components from the top and heart notes are probably in such low concentration that they completely fade away!
You can hardly believe it, but the Nüwa appears quite linear, in contrast to all the other Rojas.
It starts and ends with birch, cumin, iris, oakmoss, and a hint of vetiver.
Especially with cumin, Uncle Roja did not hold back, and most know what that means! To put it mildly, it smells a bit musty and sweaty, reminiscent of wet shaving!
The dose of birch is also not typical for Roja, but maybe the good man had connections with Mr. Tauer, who knows.
Of course, this is still not a bad scent, just..... too specific, let's say.
Despite the enormous longevity, the sillage is limited, which is fine with me in this case.
Oh, how glad I am to have saved 1000,-; I would rather look at the other wonderful Rojas!
