The top note of orange

Today was another one of those warm days and sun on my skin, ice cream in my hand - and I thought to myself - come on, give Wavechild another chance. And what can I say - he totally deserves it.

The opening is really tangy - orange, lemon, a little aquatic. And then comes this sweet, almost childishly playful melon note, paired with coconut - totally reminds me of beach vacations, colorful cocktails, a bit of 90s vibes. You have to like this direction, of course - it's sweet, it's fruity, almost a little sugary. But somehow it's just fun!

What I like: It's uncomplicated. No headaches, no drama, just a good mood in the bottle. Perfect for leisure, picnics, summer dresses and sunglasses. It lacks a bit of depth for me - I would have liked the cocoa or amber to come out a bit more - but hey, it's a fun fragrance. And it works really well for that.

Longevity is average for me - 6 hours, then it becomes skin-deep. But to be honest... for such a light summer fragrance, I think that's okay.

Wavechild may not be a fragrance for every day - but it's just right for those days when you want to dance through the day without feeling weighed down. Loose, young, cheerful. I'm glad I didn't write it off straight away juhuu
