Royal Copenhagen Musk
Royal Copenhagen Musk is a powdery, simple, 1970s classic IMHO. Not as big as Royal Copenhagen (1970), But had a presence nonetheless. The composition of RC Musk is not nearly as complicated as it's big brother either as it's much simpler and there's no Oakmoss in the base, which in 1976 was a little unusual. Anywho I own 3 bottles of the juice and all 3 are Vintage (Swank) editions. Longevity isn't great though but the drydown is very nice and the unobtrusive fragrance can be worn just about anywhere at anytime, although if I was a younger lad I wouldn't take it on the dance floor as it'll get blown away by all the Sauvages and Aventus's in the crowd
Who cares as my clubbing days have been over for 20yrs at least.

In short, Royal Copenhagen Musk is honestly a simple and pleasant masculine fragrance launched at a time when perfumers had tons of freedom to do whatever they wished, The Vietnam War ended, (we lost), Archie Bunker was on TV, and society as a whole was almost an entirely different thing and you didn't have to worry about losing your job, reputation, and self respect simply for speaking your mind. My how far everything has fallen and perfumerie is no different. That's why I'll ALWAYS buy Vintage

A different class of classic
1976... Generally, when you inquire info regarding mens colognes, the only names you hear are Brut, Halston etc.

Royal Copenhagen Musk IMHO doesn't get the accolades it deserves. I'm here to say that this fragrance needs to get more love. It's an economical output with clean powdery traits and the drydown is classic, all masculine all the time. As for performance, I get a very solid 6 hours of wear time, maybe more. I'm referring, of course, to the very first launch by Stern, not five star and definitely not Parlux or whomever is behind the distribution these days. The scent is not your typical unisex candy sweet fougere and that's a good thing because you'll definitely not smell like everyone else.

Rise and shine
The initial sensation is that of a stronger EdC, the neroli is easily identifiable; from then on the blend is all about flowers in a good way, for those than do not care about the way compositions can betray times gone bye.

The blend has very good projection, its longevity is limited - it could be the best option right after shaving, it is very appropriate for the beginning of the day.

I can imagine an older man using this as a way to remember his father's mornings before heading to work, however I can also imagine a young man choosing this one as some kind of statement. Make sure the wearer will stand out from the sea of men smelling of the usual suspects when it comes to aromatic molecules marketed under famous gobal brands.

Royal Copenhagen Musk is my favorite scent. It has been for years. I recently purchased my third bottle.

Musky, floral, and powdery Eau de Cologne that serves as that classic aftershave scent. Barbershop fragrance to the core.

Anytime you want to buy a fragrance that was launched in the 1970s 80s or 90s ALWAYS go vintage. Trust me on that. Prices be damned!!!!

A stronger EdC with a twist, this is, the musk - what kind of musk? The one used in Baby's EdCs. The end result: a very flowery EdC.

An overly powdery-animalic simplex that breaks every aesthetic for the sake of originality. Phew, only suitable for bad-taste parties.

If Royals from Copenhagen smelled like this (would), then good night, Morten... No one needs this scent, what a joke.

Soapy retro barbershop scent. Not extraordinary but not bad either. It just makes you smell freshly shaved/showered/groomed.
