Genghis Khan was undoubtedly one of the greatest and most feared conquerors in history. He was the founder of the Mongol Empire and conquered vast parts of Central Asia and Northern China. He was elevated to Khagan and thus ruled over all Mongolian tribes and peoples. He was a warrior through and through and took whatever he desired without scruples. His warriors and armies were feared, and his name was spoken with reverence, fear, and admiration. He was an emperor as one would expect. Royal Crown has created a monument with Khan of this era. Khan takes you into his magnificently decorated tent, on his raids, and into his sleeping chamber. To where conquests surely also took place!
Khan
If Khan were a musical instrument, it would be a deep, dark drum. Similar to a calm, warm heartbeat and timbre. If Khan were metal, it would be shimmering gold and matte bronze. His elements would be fire and earth. And if Khan were a color, it would be oxblood red, dark brown, and the deepest, glossy black. Khan is like heavy armor or protection. Difficult to penetrate and see through. One feels they can never reach his core and innermost self. Deep, mysterious, and enticingly sweet darkness surrounds him like the Mongolian tundra at night. He begins his conquest with notes of bitter saffron and spicy-sour cardamom. A fine sweetness sneaks in like an army. Dried fruits, individually unrecognizable, protect the flanks and gradually touch upon the gourmand. Bows of bitter-sweet guaiac wood are drawn and equipped with arrows of creamy, milky-warm sandalwood. Flags are waved, spreading the scent of earthy-warm and chocolatey patchouli across the battlefield. Whips of the finest braided calf leather are swung, and creamy-soft sabers and lances made of the most precious golden Borneo oud are drawn. The warm and protective furs are smeared with precious resins, and over the victorious battle hovers the scent of mystical smoke and war songs.
Duty and devotion are the result!
Conclusion
Serge Lutens also addressed the theme of the Mongols years ago with Muscs Koublaï Khän. By the way, I love this variation very much! But where Muscs Koublaï Khän presents animalic musk, Khan is quite different. Khan is a gourmand oriental. He is powerful, dense, and very richly laden and equipped. What the magnificent bottle promises is ruthlessly fulfilled. Khan has evoked many familiar perfumes in my senses during the conquest. Khan has the timbre and aura of an amber star from Xerjoff. The spicy-smoky sweetness of an Interlude from Amouage. And the animalic-resinous eroticism of all three Parfum de la Nuit from Roja Dove. He contains the most precious, milky sandalwood, delicately creamy and smooth Borneo oud, and earthy-warm, almost chocolatey patchouli. But he also harbors other notes and accords under his heavy armor that do not seem to be listed. Like filigree incense and soft, supple leather as well as waxy resins from benzoin, labdanum, and tolu balsam. And even traces of cocoa and possibly rum. Khan is a very seductive, sensually warm, and almost hypnotic perfume. One can hardly escape his erotic aura. But perhaps one does not want to or cannot? The price one has to pay for Khan is high. But the quality speaks for itself. One must simply say it! I personally struggled for a very, very long time with myself and the perfume. But I ultimately lost the battle and surrendered. One should never challenge a Khagan.
You can only lose,... on all levels and positions!
The human eye sees far, the human understanding sees further!
- Genghis Khan -
After that lovely comment, it was almost clear to me that the scent had you wrapped around its finger. Compliments, the description is really well done.
Not only very impressively written, but also very informative... as always... You should become a teacher! I would gladly sit in the front row of your class...
... with this advertising, one can only give in to every resistance ... and immediately wants to be embraced - by this scent-turned-conqueror ;)) ... and - that he has done it with you - can be gathered from every line of your wonderful and seductive description ....
When it comes to comments, you're a great conqueror :). You transport me to foreign worlds, enchant me with the scent, and make me super curious, even if I have to assume that it probably won't be a fragrance for me in the end.
I don't think anyone has ever described a life-and-death battle so melodiously - if I were to receive the final blow, let it be one of those: "creamy-soft sabers and lances made of the finest, golden Borneo oud." Absolutely brilliant. And with that price (which only shows up when you add the perfume to your cart), I’ll avoid the fight ツ "Better to retreat than to lose the battle."
The well-equipped Khan drummer is welcome to conquer me too... ;) Sensual, hypnotic, and erotic as well... you know how to drive your readers crazy :) A fantastic comment, dear Can...
I hung on every word. Even though I believe I couldn't appreciate the scent and maybe wouldn't want to, because I think it just doesn't suit me at all. I wouldn't want to put up a fight over it. But I'll leave you a trophy for the wildest archaic vibes.
Wonderful and very impressive review of what seems to be an extraordinary fragrance that would definitely be worth a try, as long as it's not too animalistic...........
truly amazing images, insane scenarios, and great associations that you conjure up with words! But I don’t want to be conquered by the scent or the Khan, and definitely not in his bedroom! ;D
What amazing images you paint again, what a breathtaking scenario you create! I gladly followed the Khan and let myself be carried away and inspired by the aura of the fragrance! A beautiful review...
An enthusiastic, passionate comment! Great. I'm actually wearing a Royal Crown fragrance today too. One of my absolute favorites - and one of the most beautiful Taif rose scents ever. Oriental magic.
Wow !!!! That's one of the most impressive fragrance descriptions I've read here! It's definitely conceivable that I'd willingly surrender to KHAN ;-). I've already gained the joy of starting my day with your fantastic comment :-). !
Dschingis Khan seems to be quite a few conquests and cultural appropriations ahead of Lutens.
Sounds vibrant and impressive, thanks for the vivid language in your description!
A very well-rounded and coherent review with a great fragrance description and plenty of additional information. The comparison with different perfumes and the wonderful visual representation of the notes are also very helpful. I’d say you can only gain from reading it!
Absolutely worth reading! I immediately thought of MKK by Monsieur Lutens (the old version was pure animal on me) and found it very interesting to see how this theme was implemented here. Congratulations on the fragrance treasure.
.. powerful, passionate, sensual, and mysterious .. yet informative and full of details! A top-notch comment of the Can class! I'm happy for you .. especially since I've found a soul-soother in L'Origan, thanks to you!
Your reviews are always like short stories. I really like that. You always give me a little more insight into the world of fragrances. Thank you for that!
An impressive review with reference to the name and background. I’m not familiar with the scent or the brand, but after your vivid description, I have an idea of what it might smell like.
Genghis CAN Cup ;)
It's no big shame to lose against the Khan; many have experienced that. Besides, you were quite lucky-you only had to pay with money and got such a sensual consolation. You should consider yourself lucky!
So if it resembles Interlude, Mr. Polly likes it too. And I won't say anything about money. I spent half a fortune yesterday on a fragrance that's close to my heart. Just saying, treat yourselves :)
You've once again found impressive words. And the top score speaks for itself as well. Still, I'll gladly let you indulge in the Khan and his dark drums alone. A scent that's not made for me. Or the other way around.
Resistance is futile.... wow....!!
After reading, I'm breathless - thank you.
The scent, as you described it, must be powerful.
My curiosity is piqued.

Sounds vibrant and impressive, thanks for the vivid language in your description!
Congratulations on the fragrance treasure.
As always - - - > genius
The Khan is really intriguing. Only the price makes me sweat a bit ;)
Genghis CAN Cup ;)
But I can't help thinking of Star Trek when I hear Khan ;)
Still, I'll gladly let you indulge in the Khan and his dark drums alone. A scent that's not made for me. Or the other way around.
