Shalimar in the Eye of the Tiger
Narcotized with smooth, smoky patchouli
The soul finds peace in
the softly melting vanilla balm rush

I love cuddly cats and the sound of patchouli. They might also introduce me to Shalimar.

Do I want that much patchouli in Shalimar? Not really.

You liked the Occhio too, so that's a good sign! :-)

Already two years ago :-) I wanted to test it again with a trained nose, and it’s still wonderful. Something for next winter.

I think this is the first crown fragrance that really speaks to me - especially because of your statement. Just based on the notes, I wouldn't have been that interested.

I find it so beautiful because the scent is base-focused and works accordingly with complexity and depth.

Sounds the most interesting so far from the ones tested from the house.
From the top notes and the base, it could also be an Amouage.

Wow, that sounds great. Well, more of a cuddly cat than animalistic and wild... but still.

It definitely has a smoky, scratchy vibe and is quite dark, but with a cozy base :-)

The retest after years confirms my references of sweet-earthy and soothing herbs, like in Baldi Occhio di Tigre, and its smoky-balsamic vanilla finish, similar to Shalimar. The initial statements from 6-7 years ago mentioned animalic and wild notes. I don’t get that, but rather a winter cuddle and a soul-soother, like a purring cat. The scent has depth, and every breath relaxes and warms on cold days like these.
