Standout orange blossom
Took a dive into orange blossoms recently looking for a certain balance and Dagian is where I found it. Equal parts fresh citrus and sultry white florals with a dash of salt. The opening is bright, bitter citrus rinds (I get mostly mandarin and grapefruit) with some mint.
The others that I’ve sampled were too soft or too sweet or too weak. Like many of the others, Dagian has a healthy helping of clean, fluffy musk that pairs well with orange blossoms, evoking uplifting innocence. The sandalwood in the base however is unique and quite subtle, supporting the blossoms and the citrus and lengthening the overall experience.
The quality of the scent verges on the aromatherapeutic. Suitable for any occasion and time of day/year. The notes a traditionally spring/summer, but I can imagine reaching for this in the cold, dark of winter when my spirit needs boosting. It’s like bottled limerence—golden light on the water.
