Once a Star and Back
I held him in high regard, the bottle is elegantly luxurious, wrapped in leather with a little tag from S.T. Dupont, Wow, I always thought.
The opening is very floral, not citrusy at all, but softened by the calming lavender note. The violet leaf actually accompanies the wearer from start to finish, and as the fragrance develops, only guaiac wood pays a visit, while the floral note bids farewell in the dry down, from then on it becomes rather smoky, just guaiac.
I find it nowhere near as great as at the beginning; it was once a highlight in my collection, but it has slipped so far back from the top 20 because this perfume just doesn’t captivate like I initially thought. I quickly got tired of it (I), but the ladies were always very taken with it; whenever I sprayed it on, I always received positive feedback.
The longevity is around 6 hours.
The sillage is relatively good, maybe half a meter.
The bottle has a bit too much plastic but is visually eye-catching.
This teaches me that my oh-so-quick 90% ratings should now always be given after long tests and held back.
