Uomo Casual Life Salvatore Ferragamo 2017 Eau de Toilette

Honey, the coffee is ready.
Recently, just in time for summer, I had the opportunity to get a 100ml bottle of Uomo Casual Life for just under €20.
- Cardamom in the pyramid and yet a summer scent? Check.
- Coffee in a fragrance that I've been eyeing for a while? Check.
- Recommendation from Jeremy? Unnecessary, but present - hopefully it won't hurt - Check.
The package arrived without any difficulties on its long journey from beautiful Sweden. The packaging promises nothing extraordinary, just like the bottle. The bottle doesn't strike me as particularly cheap, but it doesn't feel premium either. Perhaps the plastic applications on the sides could have been designed more elegantly. The spray head could be a little smaller for my taste, but it distributes the liquid quite finely. Not top-notch, but still solidly average.
I first sprayed the scent twice into the packaging, as there were no test strips available, and held it under my nose every now and then, lightly waving it.
I smelled a somewhat synthetic freshness that also had a slight sharpness to it. No coffee, no cardamom, and any citrus was very soft and far back, if at all.
Even after several hours, I was not granted any coffee. That "sharp" note from the beginning was no longer discernible; the scent could have been any generic "blue" shower gel scent.
The next day, I wanted to give it another try. This time I sprayed just one spritz directly onto my skin - because what I had smelled the day before wasn't bad. This time I noticed the citrus much more strongly; the sharpness was hardly noticeable anymore and felt more appropriate. Additionally, I sensed a kind of bitter-sweetness. This sweetness intensified over time, and now a coffee note was discernible. I didn't find it particularly strong in coffee, more like a mild and southern coffee. Very delicious. After about 2 hours, the scent became a bit "softer," the sweetness decreased, and a certain woodiness emerged.
Overall, I find the longevity to be acceptable to good. What I perceive here and really like is this phenomenon that after a few hours, I feel like the scent is gone, only to catch a light coffee sweetness in a draft that I enjoy.
With perfume, it's often like with people; beauty reveals itself at second glance.
If you like sweet gourmand scents and have the chance to grab it for around €20, go for it. However, you shouldn't expect anything that will blow you away.
So, my first scent that at least partially features coffee - for trying out, this was great for me. For the next one, the coffee note can be a bit stronger and perhaps less sweet. Let's see where the journey goes.
In my mind, a beautiful image forms around the scent. I sit in front of a tent, with a camping stove in front of me, on which a small pot of coffee is brewing. The early sun rays bathe everything around me in a beautiful light and reflect on the lake just a few meters in front of me. Birds chirp in the trees around me. A loved one crawls out of the tent - "Honey, the coffee is almost ready" - a day can begin so beautifully.
