Luxury! Warm and gourmand Mimosa from Italy.
Ferragamo can also do Private Blend a la Tom Ford. Long-lasting. Good sillage. Smells of luxury and quality. Black bottles with mahogany caps. Consistent and elegant.
So how do the 3 new oriental creations from the Italian house Ferragamo smell now?
The Tuscan Scent Collection is truly well done! One targets leather/incense customers, the second one is for honey lovers, and the third? Mimosa, vanilla, oud. Those are the keywords!
I bought White Mimosa because it fits perfectly with the cold, upcoming winter. Oriental warm gourmand.
For connoisseurs of Tom Ford, it smells as if Tuscan Leather and Tobacco Vanille were mixed together, with tobacco removed and mimosa added. Almost done. Unfortunately, no one currently does mimosa as well as Diptyque with 34 Essences Insensées... but Ferragamo comes very, very close! The mimosa never feels too much or even bothersome. No headaches. No wrinkling of the nose. Real class!
White Mimosa starts chocolatey, woody, slightly smoky, and ambrette. This opening is one of the best! So incredibly deep and seductive. Unfortunately, it lasts only about 15 minutes.
The mimosa is not white and light for me, but deep golden-yellow and heavy. It is somewhat suppressed by a kind of oud accord. Chemical oud, but soft and good. Slightly sweet and leathery. Not stinky and oily at all. Not musty, marked, or off-putting. Creamy and gourmand is the centerpiece of this super beautiful creation.
Heavy and a bit feminine. For women aged 35 and up. Men can wear it too, but the scent leans more towards the feminine side of well-known fragrances. I don't mind.
The base: Chypre notes and golden vanilla are the core of the matter after 4 hours of dry down. Not quite as sweet as Tobacco Vanille by Tom Ford or Collection Extraordinaire - Orchidée Vanille by V. C&A.
Iris is a bit lacking... which isn’t so bad. More mimosa in the base would have been great.
200€ for 75 ml. Hamburger Hof, for example, offers it. Otherwise, only selected Ferragamo stores.
What can I say.... Recommendation to buy for the winter... if you have the money.

To me, it doesn't smell much different from Lipstick On. I was expecting something else. I don't get that classic mimosa feeling that I know.

For me, the sweeter and warmer VC&A Bois d'Iris... but that's just my perception... nice comment, thanks!

The scent is a dream and incredibly complex. I tried it last Saturday and I'm absolutely thrilled with it.
