siren skin

Pure water nymph perfume. This is what I wanted from Greek Keys. Salty white florals, sparkly yuzu, sunbaked driftwood, and an incredible vegetal, algal vein. It’s quite pretty and uplifting, but the true oceanic accords keep it just strange enough to feel novel. The opening was fishy enough to get a nose crinkle out of me, though that fortunately faded into more of a clean, mineral brininess. On fabric the scent had great fidelity and lasted a square eight hours. But for some reason on my skin it went matte, with none of the brightness of the yuzu or the clarity of the calones. Still my favourite of the Sarah Baker family.

Mental Snapshot: A siren princess, garlanded in sea-glass and crowned in bone-white coral. She’s a vision, even with her webbed fingers and viperfish teeth. The Little Mermaid, directed by Guillermo del Toro.

tl;dr: photorealistic mermaid
