Sarrassins Serge

My review was based from a sample given to me by a kind friend from her own bell jar of this classic jasmine scent. Normally I would not be keen to approach reviewing a scent dominated with a note i find difficult at times. But I needn't have worried. Thanks for watching and I hope you enjoyed the review.

I would love to smell this on a man because I think it would wear very different on men than it does on women or maybe a woman with an oilier skin than mine - more of that animalic quality would come out. On me, it wore very clean. I also get fruit like you do. I smelled grapes and plum. Anyway, I really like it, but for a fragrance that makes my eyes roll back in my head like yours do on first spray, that would be Perris Monte Carlos Jasmin de Pays. I just left a review for Sarrasins.

This has been on my list to try for literally years. It always sells out at Luten's site, but also shows up on occasion at Harrods, which does ship worldwide. Unfortunately, as soon as the bottles show up at Harrods, at a $100 cheaper a bottle than at Luten's site I might add, they are gone. Twice I have been in the process of checking out to receive the dreaded message, "sorry, that item is no longer available." It's like marathon shopping and the fastest shopper wins. I think Luten's is deliberately limiting production of this fragrance to keep it exclusive. Fortunately, I managed to find a place that does have sample available, so I was able to order one and waiting in the mail for it now. Though I doubt I would, the idea of shelling out $300 for a perfume I might hate is not very appealing. Should I fall in love, as I suspect I will, then the search will be on. For the record, my favorite jasmine scent is Jasmin De Pays by Perris Monte Carlo.

Please let me know what you think if you try it. I'll keep an eye on the Harrods site in the meantime.
