Signature Shawn Mendes 2017 Eau de Parfum

This fragrance has been on my wish list for a long time due to its rather unusual pyramid, especially for unisex scents. It is quite rare to find unisex fragrances among celebrity scents. Apart from this one, the only other I can think of is Lady Gaga's Eau de Gaga. Usually, the goal with celebrity fragrances is to target specific audiences. Here, both can be addressed, as Shawn Mendes is already a role model for many young boys and also extremely popular with the girls.
For those few who do not know Shawn Mendes: He is a 20-year-old musician from Canada with many followers, especially female, as he is quite a heartthrob and a dreamboat. I don't mind his music at all. I've heard some good songs from him, although nothing has really blown me away.

Regarding the scent: The fragrance has totally flown under the radar, and as you can see, it doesn't enjoy much attention. Celebrity fragrances don't have the best reputation. I must say that I have smelled quite a few decent ones in this category, especially in this price range. This one was also not very expensive: you can get 30ml for about 15 euros, which is fair for this scent. It is an EDP, and the performance is quite good here. I also purchased this 30ml.
Signature is primarily a sweet scent. Extremely sweet. For established men who want to come across as serious and masculine, this is definitely not for them. In my opinion, it is only conditionally unisex. This fragrance is exclusively for lovers of extremely sweet scents and is more suited for younger people.
In the top notes, there are fruity notes that only come through moderately. At least in combination with an extreme sweetness. It smells marshmallow-like, combined with caramel. Among the fruity notes, apple is the most prominent. Due to the sweetness, it comes across more like a candied apple from a fairground. It sounds very heavy, but it is not for these circumstances. Fresh notes and frangipani counterbalance well and provide a polished touch. The base is also very pleasant and soft. The base is very vanillic, gourmand, and gentle. Well done. A fragrance that comes across as very refined and not too penetrating or aggressive.
The performance is also quite pleasant at this price. It lasts for several hours. The sillage is rather average for this fragrance DNA, which doesn't necessarily have to be a disadvantage.

Overall, a great fragrance that can be worn for many occasions. Conditioned unisex, I can especially recommend this scent to young ladies. A great alternative for a low budget.
