Japanese Lemon Sorbet
It's a pity that this fragrance was never really available in Europe; as far as I know, it was only available for a very short time in Italy, where Shiseido took its first steps in Europe in the 70s. Just today I received my new 100ml Cologne Edition again and I am once again thrilled by this extraordinary citrus note that truly has no equal.
Therefore, it is also difficult to compare this composition with any known European creation; however, Green Water by Fath, Monsieur de Givenchy, or the unfortunately rather unknown Monsieur de Rauch might hint at the direction of this excellent formulation. While Auslese, in comparison to the rather subtle French gentlemen, is dressed like a strong Samurai. Absolutely the first choice for all citrus fans!
By the way, Auslese, like some other Shiseido classics, is still available in Japan in full range, from after-shave to EDC, EDT, hair tonic, deodorant, shower gel, and body talc in almost every well-stocked drugstore at incredibly low prices.
