Citrus Water with a Twist

Bravas does not seem particularly spectacular at first sniff, and one might place it somewhere in the lemon garden between Dior's Eau Sauvage and Armani's Eau Pour Homme.
Only on the second sniff does Bravas reveal its secrets; the green-fresh top note is replaced by a floral-spicy fruit note, which ultimately concludes in a mossy, powdery finish. In its final nuance, it strongly reminds me of my dearly beloved "Monsieur de Rauch."

The H+R Fragrance Atlas from 1985 mentions the following composition:

Top note: Lemon, Bergamot, Basil, Petitgrain, Lavender
Heart note: Jasmine, Melon, Cedarwood, Coriander, Green note
Base note: Patchouli, Moss, Musk, Amber

In Japan, it can still be found in almost every drugstore, along with a complete care line. During my last visit to Japan, I was quite surprised to see a 1.5L PET bottle of Bravas "Hair-Liquid"... well, different countries.... :-)

Bravas briefly had a woody brother in a brown bottle, named Bravas Bosky, which was marketed as a "Spicy-Floral-Cologne."
