I find gourmands to be quite a tricky subject. Until now, I have hardly encountered one that truly smelled authentically from A to Z like the promised delicacy. There was always something synthetic or disturbing, or the scents smelled good but not edible.
This is just to say requires a shift in thinking! It is heavy, it is almost sticky - but it is hyperreal. It smells like a gooey chocolate cake with a lot of chocolate, so chocolatey that it is almost moist and mushy, but super delicious. There is a compote of plums and apricots, all dusted with a bit of baking cocoa. Other fragrance notes can be safely forgotten here. But you can smell plum and apricot authentically like rarely before, and I don't know any other fragrance that smells so real of cocoa and chocolate. No one does it like Profumum Roma, no one!
This is Just to Say is loud and threatens to overwhelm you shortly after application, even with careful dosing. But as it is with the most delicious treats, you really can't stop anyway, even if you've already had too much - so that doesn't really bother you.
This is Just to Say seems to be not very expensive, but it is hardly available and hard to find. Definitely the biggest downside, because I could actually give a real recommendation here and would otherwise immediately want to grab a few mL, even if I didn't know when/how/why I should wear it.
