Work and Travel Transylvania

Dear Count,
I sincerely hope you are not expecting any miracles from me, which I should perform in your absence at the venerable residence in Transylvania. Maintaining the old walls, however, proves to be far more difficult than I initially assumed.
Although I opened all the leaded glass windows wide immediately upon my arrival and the fresh scent of the dense forests soon flowed through the halls, it was unfortunately impossible for me to tame the smell of the dark earth that is thriving in your cellars. Rather, it seems that a fermentation process has already begun down there. Patchouli liqueur-like vapors continuously waft up the worn stone steps, causing the Transylvanian firs to soon tumble out of the windows again.
And then there are all the heavy trails of opiates. Oh, must you always be inebriated? Your polygamy, dear Vlad! These corridors will never shine! I scrubbed the stones for so many hours, added musk to the mopping water, and now everything is sweetly soapy, even the small black amber inclusions in the terrazzo floor of the ballroom, everything dissolves in this brownish earthy opium foam, including myself. I’m sorry, I’m dizzy from all the murky vapors, dear vampire. I will likely move on.

(With thanks to Chizza)

hahahahahahahaaaa... Dance of the Vampires. Even a castle like that needs a good cleaning. Luckily, there were no pools of blood; they smell so metallic and are really hard to get rid of once they dry! ;)=

Should one write such letters to Vlad the Impaler? I'm afraid he isn't familiar with modern management methods and leans more towards malus than bonus... ;-)

That sounds like a scent for someone else again, but at least the old gloomy castle got a good scrubbing ;-)

Great comment again! I guess I'll have to turn down the job offer in Transylvania; I'm just stunned from all this reading!

No wonder, Nosferatu has found a new place to stay in Lübeck.

I really liked the description of the scent, but the perfume is definitely best suited for Transylvania, and I’m fine with it staying there!

And while reading, I was already thinking of patchouli-like Swedes, but what do they want in Transylvania? As for the perfume: what can we do - that's how it is!

With Sixteen92 fragrances, it's always a bit like a gamble; sometimes you hit upon a great scent, other times it's more mediocre. Your comment is beyond any doubt!

I wonder what kind of amazing story you would come up with for a basic perfume. Always these bizarre scents that are labeled as fragrances. I'll head down to our old little cellar vault; maybe then I can imagine it.

Your story is just as good as Bram Stoker's novel... :-) It's just a shame that the smell in Vlad Dracul's castle doesn't quite live up to it... there could have been so much more!
