Did Maroussia used to smell different???

I have always loved this perfume for winter because it has always smelled so Christmassy to me. Now I bought a new bottle and I find that it smells different than before! Specifically, that woody/spicy note (sandalwood?) that I liked so much about Maroussia is missing :-(

Could it be that the formula of this perfume has changed, or is it just me??

But you can still recognize it well. With some fragrances, only the name has stayed the same, and that can be quite surprising. But not here, it's still great!

Clearly reformulated, the base is lighter and no longer as distinctive. That's why I don't like it as much as I used to.

I sprayed the perfume again today after a long time. It doesn't smell the same as it used to, but I recognize it and I'm really happy that I received a small bottle in the mail today.

For me, it definitely smells different now, not spicy, woody, fruity, sweet, or anything else, but almost like nothing at all-just boring :-(

It must have changed for sure. Back then it was more expensive. Nowadays, you can almost get it for free. This also applies to Vanderbilt, which has definitely been messed with.
