A Pretty Mixture

Allegedly, “Debonair Eau Dandy!” is based on a three-hundred-year-old cologne recipe, and it cannot be denied that it has a subtly old-fashioned charm, though this appears in an updated form.

At first, I was a bit disappointed, as I had imagined “Debonair Eau Dandy!” to be fresher due to the “Eau” and the citrus notes, and I found it somewhat irritatingly a little “bubblegum-y” (though in a completely non-sticky way).

However, “Debonair Eau Dandy!” is still very fresh, lemony, and not sour. There is a strong and herbaceous-green lavender note that dominates the fragrance over long stretches, which I greatly appreciate. Neroli is also very present, along with oakmoss in the base.

But it is only the combination of the fresh, cologne-typical scent notes with the various floral notes that make the fragrance more pleasant, which keeps it from being too traditional and too masculine, so that “Debonair Eau Dandy!” is undoubtedly recommended for today’s dandies of any gender.

This scent perfectly maintains the balance between classic and a little quirky; it is appealing and, in the original sense, nice, which is meant positively.
