Angels’ Breath
To preface, I have no experience with the counter fragrance to this one (aka Full Dark), so I cannot speak to a “Full” experience for this duo (see what I did there? XD)
This was a surprisingly easy love at first sniff for me. I had a good feeling that I would though, based on the notes. Ms. Angela can do no wrong when it comes to vanilla. From the first application, the notes I pick up most are the vanilla, the whipped cream, and a strong amber. As the scent develops on my skin, the orchid note begins to bloom and adds a very gentle touch of floral to the fragrance. Full Light has an airy sweetness without being too gourmand, and it has a remarkable duality of warmth and coolness to it (similar to the warm/cool vibe of Snowshoe Pass). It feels pure and ethereal, and I know it’s only going to get more stunning with time and maceration. I can’t stop sniffing my arm and the air around me. Can’t speak to longevity and sillage just yet, but I promise to update them when I spend a day wearing it. Not to mention I love the glowing white blank label for the bottle.
Solstice Scents has easily become my favorite indie house, and I wish more people around the world could experience the beauty of Angela’s creations.
