the river and the pasture
"Il Fiume e il Salice" - the river and the pasture.
Actually this is a nice name for an eau de parfum: I don't really understand why "I Profumi di Firenze" created the name "Cashmere" for it.
But it's really one and the same scent; it just got another name!
My personal "word clucker" bit the word "Salice" for a while; like on a bone, he chewed on it - until enlightenment came.
Salice/willow - salicin/active substance from willow bark - salicylic acid/base of a known painkiller and a vitamin C killer.
By the way, a teaspoon of willow bark, brewed with boiling water, replaces the painkiller after ten minutes of infusion. But the infusion is then very, very bitter.
But it's all on the internet; I don't want to say more about it.
After finally the peace and quiet and the "word crawler" was satisfied, I could devote myself to this fragrance experience full of pleasure.
Fully developed it really reminds of a peaceful river, with willow on both banks.
The weeping willows are the most beautiful; wind and light play wonderfully with the long tendrils, whose ends float almost weightlessly in the water.
The right lighting reminds you of the long hair of a woman who lets herself drift relaxed and pulls a hairy veil behind her.
"Cashmere" starts fresh and quite cool because of Angelika.
The top note, consisting of somewhat more bitter, not too sweet citrus fruits, and the coolness of Angelica/Engelswurz tune in to a harmonious fragrance development.
This composition is already reminiscent of the freshness of water in constant motion; it refreshes and relaxes at the same time.
The impression of the tree passed river is impressively captured here in this tasteful flacon.
I now refer to the statements of the website of "I Profumi di Firenze"; I cannot describe the heart of this light-footed fragrance beauty more aptly and above all more beautifully.
"The femininity of the scent of rose, gardenia and jasmine is embraced by "male galbanum" and the ever-popular lily of the valley."
Together with the fruity freshness, it already produces a magical summer fragrance; the recurring noblesse of this brand's fragrance creations makes it special.
Sandalwood, again used in tasteful doses, and the warmth of vanilla prepare the hitherto light yet intense scent for the resinous ambrosial seasoning: it refines "cashmere".
Maybe that's why this name was chosen more suitable.
Although "The river and the willow" also sounds very nice to me; this is more like tuning in to a beautifully woven light scent blanket that is very cuddly. And that for a few hours.
I am surprised that one of the fragrances of "I Profumi di Firenze" lasts so relatively long.
But so develops, even with me "Kaltblüter", a symphony of flowery freshness and resinous spice.
Thanks to Gelis, I also had the opportunity to get to know this work of art from the Florentine perfume trade. I am delighted, even though I already know some of the creations: they are always apart.
With this charming Florentine, warm summer days become more lively, more graceful.
All the more reason to wait for summer.
