"I walk up the shady path of pine trees I planted years ago and watched grow into evergreen giants. From the top of this gentle hill, I see the Adriatic Sea, a view both reassuring and beautiful. The sweet breeze and the smell of salt embrace the pine needles, which in turn embrace me." Dt. Di Massimo

Now, where Dt. Di Massimo gets the pines for this fragrance, I cannot say. But perhaps he only mentions them to come to the hill and perceive the sea breeze...
I can confirm a sweet + salty sea breeze. However, my association is - as already described in the statement - a salty sea breeze blowing over a (sun) cream pot. About two hours later, the flowers wave from afar, almost making you forget the sea for a short while, only to then subordinate themselves again. For that, someone has now screwed the cream pot shut.
But it doesn't stop there; eventually, one has to reapply, and in a rather stripped-down way, the first impression repeats itself.
Yesterday, during the first testing, I completely missed the heart notes, but maybe I was too busy to notice their little hour. In any case, yesterday I had the impression of "only" smelling the sea breeze with a hint of sweet cream in the dry down.
The longevity for me is good at 6 - 7 hours, the sillage rather in the lower middle range.
In my thoughts - regarding whether to buy or not - I compare "Sapore di Mare/Brezza di Mare" with the "Batucada" from L'Artisant Parfumeur that I recently tested, and Batucada is slightly ahead as it is a bit fresher...
These "salty" scents haven't made me very happy so far, but the more I read about them (like in your beautifully written comment), the more I think I should explore this direction again.
If this one didn't have that slightly sweaty note - or as it's so diplomatically put in the pyramid: the skin accord - then, yes, it could be something for me ;)
Good to know, Batucada hasn’t won me over either. Your use of "lightened" in connection with cream puzzled me a bit; my first thought was, "Cream, lightened? What do you mean?" Trophy+
I enjoyed reading your comment too and I'm reflecting on your feelings about this fragrance: it seems like you two don't quite harmonize. It's a shame, but this sea breeze was definitely worth getting to know.
Beautifully described! But with the combination of floral + aquatic, I'm always a bit skeptical, as I've had some questionable experiences. I don't think I'll add this fragrance to my wishlist, but I enjoyed reading your comment.
Anyway, thanks for this lovely comment that gives an impression of the scent.
