Yes, dear Lu, I never thought we would find common ground in terms of fragrance. Our preferences are so contrasting. But with Coquelicot it was already a hit, and now also with Talco Delicato, which I found in your extensive and lovingly packed fragrance and taste event package! :-)
Although I was a bit startled at first. It has a somewhat 'nippy' note when I first sniffed at the spray head. I have an ancient mini in my collection, Jasmine by Brinsdor, that smells just like it. Perhaps your funky lemon comes into play here, which then transforms on the skin into a fresh, sweet, zesty lemon (as you describe too). This note immediately reminded me of Sprite lemon soda. The only one I like.
But what comes next... hidden under thick layers of cream and powder... a bright red gummy bear emerges.
I don't know if anyone remembers these... maybe they have long been banned: There used to be giant gummy bears (not the juice gummy bears!) The bag was very large and (I believe) bright yellow with slime-green writing, and inside were doll lipstick red and Fimo green thick, fluffy, soft gummy bears (yellow and orange of course too, but I only know them from looking away). The consistency of these sweet things was also very different from all other gummy varieties. Not so firm, chewy and, well, gummy-like, but soft and rather 'dry', or 'porous' in contrast to the others. They were matte, not shiny, and actually felt 'powdery'.
But the most striking thing was the scent that wafted from the bag when you tore it open. Sooo ultra artificial and at the same time sooo delicious. Ah, how wonderful the unhealthy color and additives for scents, drinks, and foods used to be! (I’m still mourning the Dolomiti ice cream from back in the day!)
In any case, it is the scent and taste of these bright red gummy bears that I find here, and I am totally thrilled!
Dear Lu, you did well! I was - to put it in Caroline Reiber's words - rrrrrriesig happy!
Warm regards
Hasi
P.S.: I am still looking for a replacement for the large, filled gooseberry candies that were around about 35 years ago. Can you do something for me there? ;-)
