Somehow great, but also somehow strange

Pink Boa has interested me for a long time, and this was already the second time I tested it.
A few months passed in between because I thought my impressions would change significantly. Admittedly, this fragrance has something, but somehow also not. Quite crazy.

So I can only evaluate my sample that I have here. At the beginning, a fruity-sweet wave hits the nose directly. It reminds me of a red soda or sweet candies with a certain kick.
Relatively quickly, a hint of vodka actually comes through. It feels quite alcoholic, but still totally within limits and pleasant.

What bothered me, however, is that after about 20-30 minutes, a strange impression comes into my nose. I feel like I smell a kind of orange blossom or neroli, and this impression is too much and unpleasant for me.
It's not a direct neroli scent, but this somewhat unpleasant neroli note that can sometimes be felt in other fragrances is just there, and it bothers me quite a bit. So either I personally just can't handle the scent, or there's something off with the sample. Fortunately, fragrances are always very subjective; otherwise, it would be boring.

Unisex?
Definitely, yes.
I tend to see it more on a woman.

Thanks for your help! I was starting to think my senses were deceiving me. I also detect a musty note at the end, which I recognize from certain white floral scents. It must be neroli/orange blossom. Such a shame because I really like the opening. However, I can imagine that not many people would find this nuance unpleasant. I often feel like I'm alone in my opinion about light floral perfumes (Valaya, Narcotique V., Fleur Narcotique...).

The Pink Boa, the most dangerous scent on the planet. Who hasn't heard of it? Just the sight of the bottle can lead to an instant heart stop, and its sillage has lured many a brave adventurer straight into its lair, where they fell victim to its constricting grip as an unwilling snack. Just mentioning its name makes my knees tremble, and I'm paralyzed with fear.
