A pleasantly warm, fragrant day
Now I have come across scents once again that I have not encountered olfactorily, "reading-wise," or visually. A neighbor of mine, who knows that I am "crazy about perfume," was in the Netherlands. As a "thank you" for taking care of his "household chores" (cleaning the floor hallway, the stairs down to the next "floor," and washing the windows), which I do every 8 weeks when he is on a job site. Included is a 100ml bottle of "Fleurette." And two other fragrances that will be treated separately.
One should not be deceived by the purely external impression of the bottle!! The purple and pink might suggest "very sweet." However, the perfume is by no means that! A tiny bit of floral sweetness, pleasant, comes towards me. But above all, it is one thing: Fresh, green, mossy, and a little powdery.
It reminds me of fine "vintage" soaps and the corresponding Eau de Toilettes. Such as Reine des Cœurs Eau de Toilette or Anaïs Anaïs and similar concepts.
I also like the subtle, slightly earthy wood note that reveals itself as it develops. All in all, it's really beautifully "old-fashioned"!!
