Price of a room spray, quality of...?
I believe I’ll skip the paragraph where I explain that expensive doesn’t always mean good and cheap doesn’t always mean bad. Surely, no one would reject an inexpensive fragrance as long as they like it. However, when faced with an extremely low price, one does start to wonder. What can and should one expect for 2€?
Due to a move, I needed kitchen utensils, containers, and other small items. On this occasion, I also picked up Black Emotion. I was already familiar with it and liked it quite a bit. This probably made me bold and led me to reach for this fragrance as well. Allegedly a dupe of Angel and rated not too badly here, it was somewhat reassuring.
The bottle isn’t the prettiest, but it could certainly be worse and more kitschy, especially since it looks robust. I also like that the "dupe" isn’t immediately recognizable from the design. However, the spray head is poor, as it is somewhat leaky. But that was to be expected.
A hesitant test then revealed the essentials. As mentioned, this is a nod to the fragrance Angel. Imagine seeing a photo. Of course, you immediately recognize what you have in front of you, but it is rather flat. Patchouli and gourmand notes play off each other, but more precise definitions are not possible. At some point, the sweet side of the fragrance dominates. After 4 hours, the creation fades out sweetly and chocolaty before it disappears.
I like the fragrance itself. Another dupe of Angel remains in the top note phase for me, while this one can do more, or at least has less patchouli.
Overall, there are certainly better fragrances. There should be, otherwise the price differences would be purely arbitrary. Nevertheless, it must be noted that for extremely little money, you get a perfume that smells good (if you like Angel) and doesn’t just last from 12 to noon.
I don’t know if I want to wear it outside, but for myself, it’s quite sufficient!
