At some point, enough is enough
The first impression after applying: Wow, what is this? Some kind of dry Christmas spices? The slight sweetness is also well dosed. But before I head to the checkout in full enthusiasm, I stroll around for a few more hours.
In the following two hours, I was able to get a more concrete impression. This warm, powdery spice was really delicious, but at some point, I just had enough. It became exhausting, annoying, disturbing, and my throat was starting to feel very dry. I just hoped I wouldn’t get a headache. Fortunately, the perfume didn’t have such good longevity on my skin. After two hours, it was already fading, and a soapy accord joined in, which also bothered me. To be honest, I couldn’t identify the supposed coffee note. Anise, clove, caraway - yes, but also cardamom and cinnamon (and as I said, just too much of everything), even though it’s not listed in the pyramid.
Strellson Date is not a bad scent, but one should have a preference for heavily dosed Christmas spices if they are considering this fragrance. The club variant is somewhat similar but keeps the spices better in check and feels more balanced overall.
For me, however, Mountain is still my favorite from Strellson, but it goes in a completely different direction.
