Yes, I really like this! A fragrance with "classic" aromas that have withstood the test of time. I don't mean the "Imperial" itself, which is from the 2010s. Rather, I refer to the good, old fragrance concept that I know from perfumes like Drakkar Noir Eau de Toilette or "Santal / Eau de Santal (Eau de Toilette) | Floris." Yet it is still quite distinctive. It starts very cool with "peppery citrus fruits" and a hint of coriander. Surprisingly long-lasting, as it is not overshadowed by the subsequent notes but rather complemented. Refined with a touch of nutmeg and spiced with cardamom, cloves join in. To ensure its longevity, it is anchored by good, earthy patchouli. The "warm" amber note later adds itself, along with some moss and "grassy," herbal vetiver. Subtly and finely woven into the overall composition. In this fragrance, hardly anything reminds one of its "oriental" origins, except perhaps for the above-average longevity and powerful sillage. A good, old "stalwart," like I haven't smelled in a long time.
And it's available again.
