One thing I know... it once stood at "Parfumo" as a translation - that "Al Arais" is the Arabic term for "son-in-law." But this beautiful fresh-powdery scent is neither exclusively made for sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, or parents-in-law. It is a secret tip for everyone who enjoys a woody-citrusy and slightly powdery-oriental fragrance.
Warm oranges and mandarins already in the "top note" remain throughout the entire duration.
This is complemented by woods, vetiver, and some flowers. I suspect there’s a bit of iris and some roses. Nothing is overly sweet; only in the background do the fine tones emerge. I can clearly recognize sandalwood. The "good old" type that was often used in perfumes in the past. My "Al Arais" has probably seen quite a few years on its elegant gold-colored cap. And small scratches on the simple, ribbed bottle, through which the fragrant liquid shimmers orange-gold. There is no ostentation in either the design or the scent, no overly prominent notes, nor excessive sillage. But it’s not too quiet either. Just right and moderate. At the same time wonderfully "vintage"-oriental. Fresh, warm, powdery - orange-sandalwood - CLASSIC!!
