He could also be a zoologist

A few days ago, I had the opportunity to test "Shaghaf Oud," and I was thrilled. So, I had to try "Shaghaf Oud Aswad" as well, whose spicier notes intrigued me. Many thanks to @Claudio78 for the sample.

I also really like this scent. While I don't think the Oud notes are as well-executed as in "Shaghaf Oud," it does offer a strong dose of animalic notes, which can also occur with Oud, but it still lacks a bit of the typical Oud aroma. I agree with other commentators who have identified a strong urine note here. However, it is not as pervasive as, for example, in Zoologist's "Bat (2020)." I can also recognize the sweat note - presumably the usual suspect cumin - here, albeit much more subtly.

In other respects, it reminds me of fragrances from Zoologist. I initially perceive the rose as not very strong. Instead, I smell dried fruits, similar to "Camel."

After a few hours, it becomes softer and sweeter. It almost aligns itself a bit with its big brother.

I find it very wearable if you like animalic scents. And for those who find Zoologist fragrances too expensive, this offers an excellent and affordable alternative.

The Shaghaf Ouds are just not my cup of tea; I'm simply too weak for them, and I don't even know who I could "impress" with them if I can't handle them myself!
