The Rose Jam
In my opinion, Shaghaf Oud Aswad is a blend of Shagaf Oud but without the gourmand notes, Oud Satin Mood, and its own vibe.
And this unique vibe makes the fragrance very interesting, in my view.
I detect a sweet rose that leans towards jam.
There’s also a hint of animalic and dry woody oud notes that are very soft and remind me a bit of Cambodian oud that I have at home.
Overall, I find the scent much softer than the golden brother Shagaf Oud, which leans heavily into gourmand territory.
The longevity is somewhat worse than that of Shagaf Oud.
I would say it lasts about 6-7 hours on my skin.
Nevertheless, considering the price, you can't go wrong!
