I should have liked you...

Unfortunately, I was far off...

I must clearly state that I do not want to offend or hurt the lovers (m/f/d) of this fragrance. It is truly wonderful when one finds a scent they enjoy, and I certainly do not want to spoil the fun for anyone! So please forgive me if I express myself negatively here.

I was so sure that this fragrance would suit me wonderfully based on the descriptions here and the listed notes. Unfortunately, I was far off.
With joyful anticipation, I sprayed the fragrance and was greeted by a scent cloud that I would describe as an old lady's fragrance. A feeling where you no longer want to breathe because you don’t want to smell it anymore. It was truly a scent that made me feel nauseous. I had to wash it off quickly, which unfortunately I didn’t manage completely. It was really not pleasant.

With so many good reviews, I wonder, of course, what went wrong. Does it perhaps smell completely different on others, or what went wrong?

So definitely test it before you blindly order a bottle.

Well, I don't quite see myself as an older lady yet, but I'm definitely not young anymore either. Still, I had a similar experience with the scent. Based on the notes and reviews here, I thought I might really like it (I'm not so sure about such assumptions anymore, though; I only cautiously suspect now). But despite my preference for tonka, almonds, orange blossoms, and gourmand scents, I really didn't like it after the first minute. I'll have to wash it off. And in my opinion, a review is never rude, as it simply represents your individual honest opinion. You're allowed to do that. Period. Best regards!

Thank you so much for your kind and understanding reply!
I don’t think I phrased it rudely either.
It's interesting that you feel the same way. Yes, you should always test it and not just go by the notes. 😉🙂☀️

In the dry down, it's fantastic... and yes, it’s probably meant for older ladies after all.
I like it much better than Velvet Tonka by BDK.
I do think giving it a 0.5 is quite outrageous.
Well... noses and feelings can sometimes be light-years apart.

😅 with "old lady scent," you've really nailed the description. I felt pretty much the same way, but I actually find the gourmand lipstick note quite pleasant. It also reminded me a bit of my grandma 😅 but I think this scent would suit "older" ladies well. Based on your profile picture, I would expect such a young fruit to go for a more modern, elegant floral scent, like Coco Mademoiselle Intense or Tiffany & Co. Rose Gold or something 🙂 but hey, tastes and all that 🤷‍♂️

I feel the same way...
For me, as an older lady (57), it's brilliant.
