8Scent 6Longevity 6Sillage 7Bottle

Like Cats and Caves Made of Cushions and Blankets!

So, this is the fourth Sylvaine Delacourte fragrance that I am testing. I found the previous three fragrances (Dovana, Florentina, and Smeraldo) really great and would definitely recommend them to you ladies.
The fourth one is primarily based on Ylang-Ylang (at least according to the "fragrance pyramid"), and I hope that the scent doesn’t come off as too stuffy, as I sometimes feel when a fragrance contains Ylang-Ylang.

However, if the quality of the fragrance is like the others, then I am sure this one will be lovely as well.

As always, my thanks go to a very dear perfumer from whom I received these fragrances. Even if she should be so quirky that she named one of her furry creatures after a tree (hopefully the other cats don’t think of him as a scratching post because of that! :DD).

**The Scent:**
The fragrance starts with a powdery-creamy note that smells very pleasant and gives you the feeling of being wrapped in a soft, cozy blanket (yes, you ladies will surely love that! :D). There’s a splash of lime that provides a brief fresh "taste."
The jasmine quickly makes its presence known and adds a lovely sweetness to the scent, without drifting into overly sweet territory.
Soon after, the Ylang-Ylang comes into play, which, as "feared," does smell floral and stuffy (but not suffocating), yet in combination with the gentle notes here, it comes across as somewhat tamer than usual, allowing the fragrance to remain cozy.
In the base, the fragrance doesn’t change much, so it stays delicate, creamy, and powdery with the floral notes and a bit of sweetness from the jasmine (and later also a bit from the musk, just as indicated in the fragrance list below).

**The Sillage and Longevity:**
The sillage is above average and will therefore be detectable at a medium distance for a while.
I found the longevity to be quite decent at six to seven hours.

**The Bottle:**
The bottle is slightly rounded and filled with clear fragrance liquid. On the front, there’s a label that shows not only the fragrance name but also a drawing of a plant… um, is that Ylang-Ylang? I have no idea? It looks somewhat like a sun :D
The cap is cylindrical and bronze-colored. I think the bottle looks quite nice.

Okay, the scent of Ylang-Ylang is, as you know, a bit heavier and smells somewhat stuffy, but it doesn’t feel overwhelming, as many gentle notes work here that make the fragrance, as described, powdery and soft.

It feels like the cozy fur of a cat when these furry monsters are lying quietly somewhere or even sleeping and are not wildly confronting us can openers. On the contrary, it’s like the lovely feeling on cold days when the tomcat or the cat comes over and snuggles up to you, warming you with his or her body heat, making you generally a bit happier for the moment :)

In terms of scent, it’s actually an all-rounder, although it should be a bit stronger for autumn and especially for winter. On the other hand, it’s a wonderful fragrance to wrap yourself in soft blankets at home on cold days (best to build a cave out of cushions and blankets!! :DD), set out some delicious cookies, and get tea or coffee. And then grumble in annoyance because the cat has touched all the cookies while you were getting tea (or coffee) :D

Yes, I liked the fragrance very much, just like the others, and I can only recommend you scratchy ladies… uh, I meant you lovely ladies to give the scent a try :)

A lovely description of the scent.
I just ordered it and am now eagerly waiting for it. I had it sent to me as a sample set when it first hit the market, and I've been thinking for a long time about whether to buy it.
My wife also really likes it.
For me as a man, it's only wearable in private, but I love to snuggle up in it, and the cats like it too!

Yep, nicely described. I liked this one best next to the Dovana. I'm a big fan of Ylang-Ylang anyway... and a bonsai is WAY TOO SMALL *cough* to be confused with a scratching post ;-) *autumn-cuddle-trophy-display*

The description sounds very interesting and exciting, especially jasmine and musk... and I wonder what the cat with tree names might be called? I'm having a bit of fun with my imagination here ;).

I think Ylang is great, adding it to my wishlist right away. For me, Ylang is a must in a floral perfume; otherwise, it feels incomplete. But Jasmine, well, it depends.

Sounds worth a try! And for the cat-paw-tapped cookies, we have our good immune system (as healthy people) after all! So it shouldn't hurt us!
