A surprising blind buy

When there was a Black Friday sale at Taif Al-Emarar and I had already smelled the UAE oud with great enthusiasm, I jumped in at the deep end and ordered 2 perfumes from there. One was Year of Zayed, which was described quite aptly here on Parfumo. And then Quatar.

When the fragrance arrived, I unpacked it full of anticipation. With so much anticipation, I couldn't even remember the fragrance notes, so I tested it. The first spray. You are immediately enveloped by a citrusy, slightly bitter note, a little ginger. The spices then work their way forward. Clove and cinnamon are quite dominant here. After some time on the skin, a dark chocolate note develops, slightly creamy. The leather also comes to the fore. I am absolutely thrilled. It is difficult to find a similarity to other fragrances, I would describe it as a mixture of Xerjoff's Groove Xcape and Nouveau Monde. The best of both worlds. The longevity and sillage also leave little room for criticism.

All in all, a very good fragrance and I'm glad I bought it. In general, I have been very enthusiastic about Taif Al-Emarat's fragrances so far. Unfortunately, it's a bit more difficult to get hold of them. If you order them via their website, you have to expect quite high delivery charges and import duties.
