But definitely not bad either. You can really tell in the heart note where it shows such a nice warm-earthy quality. Of course, it's not a €1000 oud, but for being in a perfume and not a pure oil that you bought expensively, I'd say it's above average.
Starts off with a **foul-animalic** scent - I can't handle that 'yet'. Animalic and I probably won't become friends anymore. Nevertheless, this sounds very elegant and intriguing.
I've become more sensitive to that too. You get used to it when you test or wear it more often. I still find this one quite "pleasant," though. It's not too sharp in terms of animal notes. For example, I'm quite sensitive to too much civet.
The packaging is a highlight. Leather box with a zipper and a bed for the bottle in another leather box. It almost makes you feel like you're being mocked by a Western niche with pretentious claims.
I saw the packaging of Ombre Nomade that day too. What a cheek! The bottle, but especially that thin cardboard box - even a €20 Zara fragrance is packaged much more elegantly.
The content and packaging look really nice to me! With luxury packaging of European origin, I've often felt that the LVMH "chain" tends to be packaged carelessly and cheaply.
