Taylor Taylor Swift 2013 Eau de Parfum

Very helpful Review
A real surprise for me!
I received “Taylor” with my last online order from the turquoise perfumery and was initially very skeptical, as the average rating here on Parfumo did not bode well. Accordingly, I hesitated to test the fragrance at first. Eventually, I mustered the courage and experienced a real surprise!
The scent starts off very fruity with faint flowers in the background and is quite sweet. A thought immediately crossed my mind: “This smells like Mira Bai by Chopard!” I must say that Mira Bai has been one of my absolute favorite fragrances since its release; I wore it repeatedly for 15 years whenever it was warmer. The last bottle ran out almost a year ago, and now it is only available as a rarity at exorbitant prices. So I had already come to terms with that topic internally.
The fragrance pyramids of the two scents are practically dissimilar, yet I cannot shake the thought even after wearing it for a while. In Mira Bai, the peach dominates, while in Taylor, it is the apricot nectar that I can clearly perceive right from the first spray. Combined with the flowers, it results in a very similar scent. I wouldn’t call Taylor a dupe, rather a scent sister. A tad sweeter than Mira Bai, but the similarity is hard to deny.
Taylor is fruity, sweet, lightly floral, creamy - it fits wonderfully for spring. The longevity for me is average; I can perceive the scent for about 4 to 5 hours.
I actually wanted to steer clear of celebrity fragrances in the future. Most smell somehow intrusive and cheap in the base... But that’s not the case here. The scent simply fades quietly without becoming unpleasant. So much for staying away - I am seriously considering getting a small bottle. I have found a replacement for Mira Bai, and I cannot just leave that on the shelf!

Ah! I could have read a lot of comments here before I figured that out ;-D - but I probably never would! Just seeing "celebrity scent" makes my hair stand on end, but hey, why not? I just need to find a place to test it!

Great comment. Because of that, I decided to try the fragrance, and it smells quite similar to my beloved Ame Toscane Renaissance, which was rated 9.2 by the way... It's just not a star scent ;). So I'm happy :)

I was really positively surprised by Taylor Made of Starlight. Unfortunately, it's limited edition - so it's a good reason to take a closer look at this one. Sounds quite similar.

It has exactly the same scent quality as Jessica Simpson's Fancy Love, it just doesn't last as long, you're right.
