The Promise of Iris, Lost in a Cloud of Leather
I’m a sucker for iris notes, so when I heard that Oh La La mixes iris with hazelnut, I was beyond excited to try it. On paper, it sounded like a dream combination — soft, powdery elegance with a cozy gourmand twist.
But unfortunately, this isn’t the kind of iris I love. To me, it smells distinctly like the inside of a car — a mix of leather and synthetic undertones that overwhelms the composition. The leathery note feels overpowering and throws the balance off, leaving little room for the creamy or delicate facets I was hoping for.
While it’s an interesting concept, the execution didn’t work for me. If you’re a fan of strong, almost industrial leather vibes, this might appeal to you. But as an iris lover, I was left disappointed.
