Yogi Tea in Matcha Costume
It's green, it says tea on it - I have to buy it :D
With the Tesoris, it doesn't hurt in the onion leather, so last year I dared to make a few blind purchases after a long time, and after extensive testing, I finally have to comment more thoroughly :P
The scent starts green and very fresh, almost minty, with a bit of citrus.
The tea note is softer than bitter and reminds me more of matcha ice cream than the drink. It is also not as floral and penetrating as with Bvlgari or Arden.
After about 30 minutes, the scent becomes spicier (cinnamon/ginger/cardamom? I can't really break it down), and the tea note becomes a bit more floral, the minty aspect fades - and after 1-2 hours, I can clearly smell Yogi Tea. The classic one in the brown package, but not with milk and sugar, rather just as I used to drink it: simply infused with water. (After someone explained to me that milk and sugar belong in it, I tried it that way too, but it tasted too much like pudding for me.)
There are no sweet notes like vanilla or caramel, but with these spices, you somehow imagine the sweetness, even though it's not really there.
A similarly spicy cedar note joins in (not that flat, artificial paper cedar, but rather a truly natural woody scent), and in the base, there’s something clean-fresh, but without soapy notes - I would describe it as a (very lightly powdered) laundry scent with a hint of coumarin and cashmeran.
This phase does remind me somewhat of Armani She, but this kind of soft-woody accord also appears in many other women's, men's, and unisex fragrances.
This is again a scent where I can't understand the gender classification. It's a cozy scent that actually suits everyone, and I can't imagine it bothering anyone.
The progression startled me a bit during the first test, but now I find it quite rounded and fitting.
The longevity is not so bad for such a fresh green-spicy something, and the sillage is eco-friendly ;)

🍵🏆✨ Great read, you described the cheapie well. I just noticed that it’s not listed as unisex (but it definitely is), which doesn’t make sense. For me, it’s a scent that’s nice to wear on warm days; we’ll see if it still feels refreshing at 30° and above.

Update: now in sub-zero temperatures, I smell almost exclusively green, sharp menthol-like cardamom from start to finish. Not like the spice shop cardamom in Kenzo Jungle, but rather green-fresh. I'm not sure how I feel about it; maybe it just doesn't suit every season...
