Spicy, beautifully sweet leather
This is an encounter with the most beautifully spiced, sweet leather (or is it suede?). The opening is a bit surprising, a peppery ginger kick that greets your nose. Then, it settles into a very enticing soft, buttery leather (or suede?!) that is sweetly begging for your caress. Who knew sage and jasmine could have such an effect on leather, which I generally perceive as masculine and bitter? The patchouli and vanilla are soothing, loaded with amber and tenderness. I really enjoy wearing this and hope to sample more from The Gate.
Question: This is a Dubai brand, so why does it say Paris on the label?!

Because they have their registred main office address in Paris. You couldn't charge that much money for a fragrance if you were perceived as another Lattafa, could you?

True. Love me Lattafa, though. :-) And considering what some niche houses are putting out these days, Dubai ain't such a bad label. ☺️
