All Banana?
Rarely have I read such unusual fragrance notes as banana bread and peanut butter. But does this scent deliver on its promise, and is that even desirable in this case? That's exactly what I want to share with you in the following lines.
The fragrance starts with a true banana explosion. An intense, sweet, and vibrant banana scent greets you, accompanied by pleasant floral ylang-ylang notes. In the first hour, these two notes clearly dominate. Only after that do spicy and creamy accents join in, which cannot be precisely identified - possibly the peanut butter, which here shows more of its creamy side than its nutty one. I also perceive a subtle vanilla note, which, although not explicitly found in the fragrance pyramid, fits well into the picture of banana bread.
After a few hours, the scent calms down a bit, and a gentle amber and musk note comes into play. However, I cannot detect violet and citrus peel. One thing is undeniable: as the creatively designed bottle suggests, the banana is the undisputed star here.
The longevity on my skin is about 12 hours, and the sillage is noticeably present without being intrusive.
Now for my personal assessment: I searched for a fitting adjective for this scent for a long time - and finally found it: "funny." And this is by no means meant to be disrespectful. I have rarely experienced a fragrance that makes me laugh because it is so unconventional and unexpected. That deserves high praise!
Admittedly, the occasions on which one can wear this scent are somewhat more limited than with more classic perfumes. I can hardly imagine it for a serious business meeting or a romantic date. But in a casual gathering with friends, it fits perfectly. It is a feel-good scent that doesn't take itself too seriously - probably the most creative fragrance I have smelled in years. Anyone looking for an extraordinary gourmand experience should definitely give it a try!
