Surprise it's Flowers

Lovely clean floral with a bubble gum accord that develops into a more realistic flower as it dries down. Not your grandmother's floral scent here, but also not a predictable take on a masculine floral. A really lovely unisex bouquet in the opening. I love it for the first minute but soon after it that, to me it does just become flowers, a nice floral lotion, and very traditionally feminine. Interesting and then reliable if that's what you're looking for.

Knot-Free

A "Pistol Whip" is a hit with a gun, for example during a robbery, as I just learned. A blow with a firearm, hmm… That doesn't happen out of the villain's stupidity, but is probably meant to be somewhat nice given the circumstances. The author refers to a corresponding experience. He subsequently smelled something phantom-like - and he also had a play on words in mind with the name, whatever that may be. An insane story, not least because it leads down a completely wrong path. The only thing that blows me away about the scent is: It is simple and good. I didn't think I would experience something like this a second time with Heretic (after Jasmine Smoke).

Tuberose with a hint of fruit candy. Tiaré exoticism reminds me of sunscreen. It becomes beautifully creamy-floral, showing a touch of soapiness and a trace of pleasant sweetness. A hinted woody base adds depth and separates 'Pistil Whip' from the girlish. Clove? I might be imagining it, but I could just as well leave it out.

That's it - at least for a good four or five hours. After that, the hope for a possibly uniquely and originally integrated Lapsang Souchong smokiness unfortunately does not materialize; instead, I smell a slightly musty wood note, which is nothing fundamentally new from this provider. Only a progressively aged, sweet dried fruit persists alongside it, accompanied by at most a minimal timid smoke. No doubt, by early afternoon, the end of the active scent progression is reached. The rest drags on until evening without causing much disturbance.

Conclusion: Without the need for tangled nonsense upfront, it goes directly into a fine scent that can certainly be called sexy for at least half a day. If it is used for seduction, however, the endeavor should be successfully completed (which nothing in terms of the scent suggests!), as the second half does drop off quite a bit.

It fits much better for ladies. For friends of such scents, the recommendation to test '19 Louanges Profanes' is urgently renewed. That one plays in a different league. And allows for more time to seduce.
