What do you know about Bear Skin? And have you ever smelled it?
I recently asked a dear acquaintance of mine.
Nothing. And: No. Were her answers.

Upon the first spray on my wrist, it was clear: I want to wear this scent on my body too. Said - Done. Carefully two sprays on my upper body, but for now - to avoid any risk - just at home.

And then this association: Bear Skin.
I don't even know how a bear skin smells.

But I take a deep breath and imagine:
Leather
a hint of stable smell, but subtly the finest, almost sweet, festive
I perceive incense, yes of course, that's what the fragrance pyramid says too.
Wood infused with elemi resin, already old.
The omnipresent hot breath of the bear, lying over there in the corner…
A bear that is already accustomed to humans, not a wild creature, yet to be approached with some caution. One wants to keep a distance.
From the stable master who just walked through, there’s still a trace of his cigar in the air. The almost empty rum glass, not quite finished, is still there… He has clocked out for today and he won't be coming back.
Only the stable boy is still there, sweeping the straw off the path with his broom. In between, a faint echo of subtle sweat scent reaches my nose. Yes, of course, it was a long day, which, as I can surely feel, will ultimately end gently, softly, as if laid on straw. And it lets me dream wondrously.

This was the imagination I had while wearing this fragrance.

The start was a wow effect for me; I lack the words to adequately describe the opening in adjectives. Surely everything listed in the fragrance pyramid is perceptible, but the genius lies in the combination and what one’s own nose, one’s own feeling makes of it. A fragrance fireworks with joyful anticipation for what follows.
After that, I soon perceive the scent as strawy-dry, soft and pleasant.
Soon a sweet-dirty component is added, really like (horse) stable, I distinctly smell leather, fine leather, saddle leather. Oud and pleasantly subtle vanilla create a beautiful combination.
The longevity for me was several hours in the described fragrance quality, after which a gentle, very cozy benzoin-like scent remains that one still enjoys sniffing the next morning. The sillage was, in my perception, pleasantly subtle.

The following day I also tried this scent at work. This time I took a few more sprays. Perhaps that was a mistake, as for half the day the sweetness I had so appreciated the day before pierced my nose, and ultimately it became too penetrating for me to try this scent at the workplace again.

Conclusion: A very beautiful fragrance that I would gladly wear again at home or for special occasions, but not at work. And also at the risk of "smelling too little," I will henceforth be content with 2 sprays to avoid overstimulating the beautiful scent development.
