This scent reminded me of something right from the start. Once, very faintly, of the violet one by Dita von Teese, but without its heavy notes. And then, now that I'm wearing it today, the penny dropped: there were or are? those grape sugar candies that taste like various berries, do you know them? Exactly, this perfume strongly reminds me of blackcurrant grape sugar lollipop. The powderiness is also spot on. :-)
Looking at the bottle, it looks pretty. Its beauty doesn't really come across in pictures. It is made of heavy glass, could also be lead crystal. But what amazes me every time is that the color of the liquid is crystal clear and not purple. Or even light blue. This scent definitely smells bluish-purple.
Here, you can freely apply a few extra spritzes, although two can certainly be enough. This is a very clean scent with quite good sillage and longevity. Towards the end, it becomes increasingly muskier as the other notes slowly fade away. It doesn't undergo any other development. Nor does it need to, in my opinion. More complexity isn't always better.
It's good for June weather; I can't yet say how it performs in heat or cold. I can easily imagine this scent in laundry detergent and fabric softener. Nevertheless, it’s not an everyday scent; on the contrary, so it’s definitely worth testing before buying. I think it’s certainly recommendable for clean freaks, at least.
I found it very bland, dull, dry, and not at all radiant or long-lasting. Little Kiss Cherry by Dali is similar, much cheaper, and still in my collection. Unfortunately, nothing reminds me of blackcurrant candy at all.
