Office scent at its best!

In my first comment about a year ago, I really criticized this fragrance. A very short citrus-synthetic-spicy pleasure. That was all I could perceive back then.

For some time now, there has been a small selection of Tom Ford fragrances in the local perfumery. Among them is For Men. And actually, I didn't want to test it again, as my memories of it were not particularly positive. However, I did it anyway and perceived a completely different scent. I suspect that my sample from last year was no longer the freshest. I have since deleted my old comment and revised my rating.

The opening is very citrus-soft. In particular, I detect an incredibly realistic-smelling mandarin, flanked by everything that can be called citrus fruit. This impression even lasts for a few minutes. Unfortunately, the transition to the heart note initially comes off as a bit too synthetic. A fresh scent jumble that could also come from Boss, Baldessarini, and the like. I believe this phase was what negatively influenced my first scent test. Fortunately, this mood does not last very long. The fragrance becomes soft and citrusy again after a short time. Only now, the lightly tobacco-infused orange dominates. Very nice. In the drydown, it becomes very pleasantly spicy with a slight woody touch. Extremely pleasant and well-executed.

I can personally rate the longevity as significantly better than it is rated here, and the sillage is, in my opinion, perfectly suitable for the office. There is no need to say much about the bottle. Stylish, elegant, and practical to handle.

Well, my dear Tom. I must have done you wrong from time to time in the past. A year ago, I couldn't quite grasp your creations. That has changed now. So far, I haven't encountered any real disappointments from dear Tom.

Do you wear a suit and tie for work? Are you a lawyer? Does the credo "Stylish and elegant, but please don't stand out" apply? Then go ahead and grab this one. Before you buy a similarly priced fragrance like Boss Bottled or L’homme by YSL for the office, you should give this one a try. One of the best, most understated, and positively characterized all-rounders in terms of quality.

This is how a perfect, affordable, and simultaneously high-quality office scent should be.

Best regards

Glad to read it. But the lawyers I know prefer it loud and less stylish... :o)

With Boss or YSL, you really won't win any awards for originality! :-)
