Icy, White Sun
Many users associate Soleil Blanc with beach vacations. However, my own perception of this fragrance is somewhat different. While Ylang Ylang, coconut, and vanilla undoubtedly create a tropical feeling, the synthetic note makes me perceive the scent as distinctly cool. It's almost as if a layer of powdery snow has been laid over a tropical landscape.
For me, this fragrance does not necessarily evoke the idea of a beach vacation, as Ylang Ylang is very present throughout and rather exudes a certain Asian atmosphere. It definitely has a milky quality to it. The coconut blends in the background with this milky component, thus creating a sunscreen association.
I really like Soleil Blanc because it has a subtly sweet and lightly milky scent. However, I sometimes feel that the synthetic aspect that characterizes this fragrance is a bit too dominant.
For those who want to save a bit of money: Avant e Aprés - Isabey is very similar and somewhat cheaper than TF.
