Tobacco Oud Tom Ford 2013

Tobacco Oud was for me the revelation of the year in 2017.

Dark tobacco, earthy sweetness, somehow goth, yet also in a suit. Endless compliments, even though I thought it was too quirky. In 2017, it also had a price with 20h sillage and 3 days longevity.

Out of retro love, I ordered one of the last bottles in 2021 and what many had already mentioned online became true: it’s just thin now. A hint of the idea it once was in 2017. 2h longevity with 4 sprays. Hardly any base and smells as if a beginner had to make a dupe in 20 minutes.

And likely to be taken off the market soon, just like my other love for Tom Ford, Patchouli Absolu. Then we will probably part ways and I will have to look at DUA...
